This a rare piece of beautiful handmade guipure lace, is embroidered or thread wrapped on a three dimensional Rose – looks like Queen Anne style original work. The name “guipure” is first found in English literature around 1862 but the art of guipure goes back to the 16th century. Ivory color laid on a ribbon of silk chocolate velvet. There are a million tiny details such as the tiny picots or loops in each of the chains or brides connecting the various piece together. 100 pages of 85 lb Archival laid writing papers compose the interior cream color.
